Contract Work in Indy

I have been working in Indy at a contract position.



 

This is the large hemi-anechoic chamber used for noise, vibration, harshness testing on trucks. I stood in front of truck mounted on the Dyno with wheels going at 60 mph and corresponding engine speed. I got in and out of the truck 'going' 60. There was a continuous rush of cooling air feeding the front of the truck.

    6500 CFM scavenge ventilation
    Supports up to 20000 lb floor load






I am priviledged to work here with these folks. Too far from home though and tis temporary.

To Move or Not to Move / Home still for Sale

 

Family and friends there has been so much happen since I last updated you.

 

1)    The local opportunity in a lateral move to the financial world is closed. I thank God  for every opportunity presented.
2)    Though I have not heavily pursued this, contacts from outside the area knock on my door. Again thanks be to God for all opportunities. Certainly nice to be needed. I will be looking at a long term opportunity in Buffalo but my heart to move is flat.
3)    There is an opportunity in my field in which relocation is NOT required and I am strongly pursuing that As always your prayers for wisdom to make decisions most appreciated.
       

I have picked up some menial contract courier work I plan to pass on to my older son once I get involved in some full time work.  I have picked up a small technical project from a previous client.

Also, our house is still up for sale. Some traffic but about time for an adjustment. Trying to decide if I should take on the sweat equity of putting on a new roof ourselves and may lean on some friends to see if they can help. We have a VERY simple roof line and the manpower but can certainly use someone who knows the ins and outs a bet better. (You know who you are so I may be calling you)

Praise:  God faithfully provides and we have been blessed by having previously storing up many provisions which we now rely on.
